Though not intended as a substitute for prescribed psychotherapy or medical treatment, recent studies show that Chi Gung - Chi Kung, Qi Gong or Qigong - can restore health to all body functions because of its action on the nervous fibers.

Already valued as a stress reduction and natural healing method by itself, it is also an excellent help for the work of acupuncturists, Shiatzu therapists, chiropractors, bodyworkers, physio and massage therapists. The basics of today's bioenergetic and postural integration techniques come from Taoist Chi Gung - Chi Kung, Qi Gong, Qigong - and Nei Gung.

Water Tradition Chi Gung (Qi Gong): stress reduction and relaxation

In the ancient Chinese tradition, "Chi" (or Qi) means "internal energy, breath of life": a unified force which has unlimited capacity for expression, fundamental in all Perennial Tradition schools. Chi Gung - Chi Kung, Qi Gong, Qigong - is the art that teaches us how to master this energy. It integrates Chinese healing with Taoist meditation and gentle movements.

Chi Gung - Chi Kung, Qi Gong, Qigong - is a remarkably enjoyable system of exercises that greatly helps us to know our body and its forgotten capabilities. It balances the whole of our being, increases our Chi and teaches how to feel it and master it. It also greatly helps to free us from tensions, therefore facilitating a better harmony with nature.

Water Tradition Chi Gung: stress reduction and relaxation. Chi Gung (Qi Gong - Chi Kung) is the art that teaches us how to master the energy. It integrates Chinese healing with Taoist meditation and gentle movements.

Chi Gung - Chi Kung, Qi Gong, Qigong - is effective to:

  • obtain stress reduction and relaxation

  • prevent diseases and allergies

  • stimulate the natural healing process

  • cultivate emotional balance

  • gain mental clarity

  • increase concentration, vitality and stamina

  • build internal power

  • enhance sexual functioning

  • relieve joint pain

  • gain wellness and longevity

Chi Gung - Chi Kung, Qi Gong, Qigong - is neither a belief nor something invented from scratch: it is embodied in each of us. The newborn child does it naturally and unconsciously, the adult has to recall and bring those birth mechanisms to consciousness, so they can function again. The fundamental Chi Gung - Chi Kung, Qi Gong, Qigong - stages are three: cultivation of health and longevity, development of mental and spiritual powers, perfect harmony between man and universe. Nevertheless, according to the classic Taoist system, to complete the advanced stages it is necessary to practice also the other Internal Arts, such as Meditation, Tai Chi, Ba Gua and Tui Na.

The techniques presented in the next page come from Lao Tzu's Water Tradition, that contains Nei Gung teachings ("inner skill"). Gentle on body and mind, they awake in the adult the softness and flexibility of a newborn baby, coupled with the energy of an athlete.

These techniques are the only ones in the Taoist system to include - besides the 16 Taoist Nei Gung components - the Dissolving: a process to clear energy blockages both at the physical and emotional level. They are not easy to find even in China.

Our teaching method uses great details, optimizing learning time and increasing effectiveness. The students learn to focus attention on what is happening internally, and to feel, control, build and store their Chi.

Posture & Breathing

Posture fundamentals and the three levels of Taoist Breathing are always parts of our teaching.

The 8 I-Ching postures are taught separately.
